It has been three weeks since I started working at Eberley Brooks Events. It has been an absolute whirlwind. I still can't believe I work at Eberley Brooks. I have now helped out at a wedding, led an event design meeting, did my first venue tour for a potential bride, and helped do event design set up for a wedding. It is crazy how fast things move in the wedding world and I wouldn't change a thing. A lot of people have asked me how I even got this job, to be honest God. It was not by anything other than God having a plan and making things happen.
When I got back from Christmas break I quit my job on the spot. I didn't know what I was going to do, but I knew I needed to move on. That night I received an email from Eberley Brooks letting me know they had a position open and if I was still interested. How they had remembered I emailed them in May inquiring about an internship I am not sure. But, I am so thankful God brought that email to their mind. I interviewed and it was clear I was not the only candidate and that the owners were praying for God to put the right person on their hearts. 2 weeks after my initial interview I got the job. I knew this was 110% of God's grace and plan for me. I had a lot of heartbreaking things happen in December and I didn't know why God was shutting doors I thought I needed to be opened. But, man am I glad those doors shut and this one opened.
A lot of times I let my impatience get to me. If God doesn't open a new door ASAP then I assume nothing is going to come and I am going to be unhappy. I knew God was going to do something and thank the Lord I finally just trusted him and got more than I could ever imagine. I know work for a local business that built a venue of Jesus Christ. We pray before meetings, we are encouraged to do devotionals at work, we talk about prayer requests and what God is doing in our lives. I didn't realize how vital this was in employment until Eberley Brooks. It's going to be tough to ever find another business like Eberley Brooks.
With all of that being said I have decided to change my blog once again, but this time blogging about my experience as a wedding planner. I am learning so much information and stuff most people never even think of. I am so excited to go on this new adventure. I have attached the venues at Eberley Brooks below. Seriously the most beautiful place ever! I might be a little biased, but I have also thought EB was the best venue in West Texas.
xoxo,
Olivia
