The count down for thanksgiving has begun, school is winding down and Christmas is on its way. I am excited to get back home and get back to Kendra. I recently got the opportunity to apply for an internship through Kendra and I am so excited at the possibility to work in Austin at the corporate offices! I am so thankful that almost two years ago I applied to be a sales associate thinking I'd never get the position, but here we are now, my second holiday season working at Kendra Scott and I am so happy to be welcomed back. Kendra Scott reminds me of who I am and working there has grown my love for event planning and for fashion. My people are at Kendra, my confidence is at Kendra, and my wildest dreams have been created at Kendra. I remind my self everyday how thankful I am for Kendra Scott at Watters Creek. I am thankful to be an employee at a jewelry store that promotes community, fashion, and philantrophy. I've had the opportunity to give back to my community and to the people in it. I've had the chance to see people break down upon receiving a free piece of jewelry after going through traumatic situations. I am thankful for my Kendra family.

Thinking back to fall of my freshman year I thought I knew everything; what I wanted to do, where I wanted to do it, and how it was going to be done. Now I know that the new possibilities and my own passion can take me to places I never thought possible. New York is on my list of places I'd like to learn about event planning, fashion, and public relations. I am thankful for a school and family that promotes my education and my experience in my future career field. In two days I will plan my schedule for my first semester of junior year! I can not believe the classes I am able to take and I am so excited to see what they have in store for me. I am thankful for Texas Tech and for Kappa Alpha Theta where I recently got selected to be the Alumnae Engagement Director for another year! I am so happy to be a part of an organization that allows me to give back with my skills and talents. I can't wait to plan mom's and dad's weekend this next year and I already have some fun ideas in mind.

Lately I have seen people participating in the November challenge of writing about what you are thankful for everyday. I love this idea, reminding yourself what you're thankful for reminds us of Gods promises. In my Sunday school we've been going through Joshua which I highly recommend reading through this November and thanksgiving season. Joshua is a great example of why we should be thankful. God always keeps his promises and God always loves us. What a wonderful time to reflect on the past 10 months, on the miracles, the grace, the times you thought you just couldn't do it and now you're doing MORE. God is so GOOD. As we start to head in to the Christmas season I challenge you to remember the promises God has made and write down all the things he has made possible for you and or your family.

Just 2 weeks until Thanksgiving! PUSH THROUGH! YOU GOT THIS!

xoxo,

Liv
