If you aren't into shopping that is perfectly fine! Nashville has some of the best restaurants! My mom and I had the privilege of meeting some locals who gave us the run down of where to eat in each part of town! Every local we met was super friendly and had amazing recommendation for where we should go. I have listed below the places my mom and I got to eat at and the places that were just recommended to us. Also, a heads up expect to spend around $30 per meal especially if you are eating on Broadway. If you are wanting to spend between $20-$25 for two people you will definitely want to eat primarily off of Broadway.

I hope you get the opportunity to visit a bunch of the restaurant posted below! If you get the opportunity please let me know your thoughts. If you find more places let me know so I can put them on my list! I hope you enjoy reading about all the amazing food of Nashville and try not to get too hungry!

Broadway Street

-Wildhorse Saloon

The Wildhorse Saloon is located right off of Broadway. My mom and I went here after a recommendation from a local. We were told the fried pickles were to die for and man they were right! Their fried pickles are some of the best I have ever had! They were sweet but, tangy and the batter was good. My mom and I both got pulled brisket sandwiches and we couldn't even get half way through. I love that the fries come in different styles and the coleslaw was good. This place got pretty packed when we got their after 6:30pm. They do ID at the door but, we stayed until 10 without any problems since I am not 21. They had a different band every hour and an MC who taught different western line dances. This was a fun place and definitely one I would go back too.

- Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville

My mom and I stopped at Margaritaville between our trip to the Music City Museum and our tour of Studio B. I got the coconut fried shrimp and my mom just got fish and chips. The prices were pretty high and the food wasn't worth it. We went around 12pm so the restaurant was pretty dead. I bet if you went and ate around dinner time when more people were there and the atmosphere was more upbeat it'd be worth the expensive meal. I enjoyed my shrimp but, between the calories and the price not sure if stopping here is really a requirement when you go to Nashville.

- Jason Aldean's Kitchen and Rooftop bar

Jason Alden's was the first restaurant my mom and I went to after our flight. The atmosphere was fun and their was a long wait even at 1:30pm! We sat at the bar which surrounded a giant tractor! No live music on the stage but, they did have CMT music videos playing on the TV's. I got Jason's Mac and Cheese which was beer pulled chicken, white cheddar, yellow cheddar, and cavatappi pasta. I really loved the Mac and cheese and recommend getting it. Most of the country music stars restaurant had a version of Mac and cheese. My mom got the Nashville hot shrimp salad with crispy shrimp, mixed greens, pickles, celery, bacon, blue cheese, cilantro, and ranch dressing. We were both impressed with our meals and the atmosphere. Definitely a restaurant you should check out if you are on Broadway.

- Luke's 32

My mom and I spent our last night at Luke Bryants restaurant. The cool bar about this restaurant is one story is a regular dine in menu, one floor is the bar/stage, and the top floor is Luke's sushi bar. My mom and I ate on the main food floor and then went and hung out by stage for live music. We shared a margarita pizza and it was fantastic! This restaurant bar was super fun and had great food. I definitely recommend stopping in and if you go to the sushi bar let me know how it is! Luke's also had super fun decorations.

- The Merchant

My mom and I stopped into this restaurant after our night at the Grand Ole Opry. The Merchant is more of a restaurant/bistro than it is a bar. They bring you seasoned popcorn to start off with which I really like. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and really enjoyed it. My mom got tomato soup and liked hers as well. This is definitely a good restaurant if you don't bar the heave bar scene of Broadway.

-FGL

Florida Georgia Lines restaurant is right off of Broadway too located next to Big Machine Vodka and the Tennessee River bridge. My mom and I split a Bourbon BBQ Chicken flatbread. I have a picture of it below, it was super good and none was left over. They didn't have live music while we were there and it wasn't too packeted on the lower level. After dinner we don't to the roof top bar area which was more packeted. A lot of students, bachelorettes, and young adults were here dancing and mingling. My mom and I didn't stay long but, I bet this place is a lot of fun when it is packed.

12th Avenue South

-Urban Grub

Urban Grub is closed on Mondays, make sure to stop by later in the week! My mom were unfortunate enough to stop by on a Monday and not have the time to come back to try it out. This was another restaurant locals recommend to us. It is known for fresh fish and fine aged meats. The building is pretty cool and beautiful went light up at night. If you find yourself on 12st South around a meal time definitely stop on in! Let me know what you think.

- Frothy Monkey

The Frothy Monkey is a coffee shop multiple locals recommend if we were visiting 12th South. The place looked pretty packed when we walked by but, my mom nor I are huge coffee people. I would love to visit this coffee shop next time in Nashville. One guy we met told us they had the best bacon he had ever had! If you are into local, hippy, young coffee shops this is definitely the place for you.

21st Avenue South

-Pancake Pantry

Pancake pantry was recommended to us by some locals. When we visited 21st Avenue the line was around the corner for the Pancake Pantry. Needless to say my mom and I did not wait in line. I am sure this place is amazing and if you have to time or the line is short let me know how the pancakes are!

Franklin

-Mercantile Deli

This cute little deli is attached to Living Franklin a small store. Every restaurant on our Franklin list was recommended to us by locals. It looked pretty good and has pretty busy when we stopped in around 11pm. Definitely good for a quick or healthy bite before walking around Franklin.

- 55 South

My mom and I ate here for lunch while we were in Franklin. We shared some good fried pickles, the batter had spices on it that added an extra touch. I had the Dirty Bird sandwich and my mom had there version of Nashville hot chicken. We both enjoyed our meals and I would definitely go back.

- Oh Be Joyful Restaurant

Oh Be Joyful is another Christian ran business. It was more of a deli/bakery than a regular restaurant. The food looked good and they had a good selection of baked goods. It would be a hard choice to choose between the Mercantile Deli and Oh Be Joyful.

- Biscuit Love

My mom and I didn't have the chance to try this restaurant out. There is another location in inner city Nashville. My heard great things about their biscuits and chicken. One girl we saw caring a cup around said they weren't the best biscuits she's ever had but, being from the south biscuits are pretty common. I highly recommend going to the Franklin location locals told us the Nashville location always has the line out the door. If you visit Biscuit Love let me know how it is, I definitely want to try it out when I visit again.

- Mere Bulles Restaurant

My mom and I also didn't get to eat at this restaurant. Like the others it was recommended to us before we went to Franklin. You could probably spend 2-3 days just eating at the different restaurant in Franklin. It is describe as American Southern and traditional steakhouse fare. They have a separate lunch and dinner menu, the restaurant is located in a house that can be arranged into an event space for weddings.

19th Avenue South

-Hatties B's

Hatties B's was on my moms list of famous places to eat in Nashville. Nashville is known for its hot chicken and Hattie B's is known as the place to go for it. Luckily there are multiple locations, my mom and I waited 50 minutes in line out the door at the 19th avenue location. We both got the mild 3 chicken strip plate and I paired mine with potato salad and baked beans. The food was good but, it wasn't worth the hype my mom and I had heard. The hot sauce had a matcha taste too me, if you've had matches you know it's very distinct and recognizable. Over all it's definitely a place to hit since Nashville is known for it's hot chicken but, if you are in a time crunch don't wait in line.

TN-100

-Loveless cafe

Loveless cafe is another breakfast/brunch restaurant. This can highly recommended to us by multiple locals. They pride themselves on hot biscuits and country ham. True southern food as they would like to say. I definitely would stop in here the next time I visited, if you have the opportunity to try it out let me know how it is!
